Job summary

NRI is seeking a Wintel/Cloud Engineer to join our Manila-based Global Delivery Centre. You will provide technical support and maintenance for Windows Server infrastructure, Active Directory, Office 365, VMware ESXi, SCCM, storage, and related systems.

You will work across on-premises and cloud projects, liaising with vendors and clients to resolve issues within SLA, while documenting processes and contributing to continuous improvement efforts. This role is based in Manila, Philippines.

Qualifications

• At least 5-6 years’ experience as a Wintel/Cloud Engineer in a managed service environment or large government agency.
• Strong background in Active Directory, GPO, Certificates, Azure, M365, VMware.
• VMware – vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, virtualization best practices.
• Experience with enterprise storage platforms and backup/recovery solutions.
• Automation, scripting & coding experience.
• Knowledge of security best practices & data protection principles.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, patch & maintain existing technologies.
• Liaise with external vendors to ensure timely resolution of hardware/software issues.
• Maintain documentation per contractual obligations.
• Assist with delivery of on-premise & public cloud-based projects.
• Participate in engagements with client & 3rd party organisations on technology issues as required.
• Generate infrastructure reporting.
• Escalate issues within SLA & communicate with client.
• Participate in ongoing continuous improvement activities.

Bring your expertise to our team as a Wintel Systems Engineer,who provide technical support and maintenance across enterprise infrastructure. The role involves managing and maintaining Windows Server Infrastructure, Active Directory Services, Office 365 (including Exchange Online), VMware ESXi, SCCM, physical servers, storage, and related systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide technical support & maintenance for Windows Server Infrastructure, File/Print Services, Active Directory Services, Office 365 including Exchange Online, VMware ESXi, SCCM, Physical Server, Storage and other systems.


• Install, repair, patch & maintain existing technologies.


• Utilise & comply with all relevant NRI methodologies, standards, processes & procedures, including but not limited to, the Business Management System (BMS) & Service Management Methodology (SMM)


• Liaise with external vendors as required to ensure timely resolution of hardware / software issues


• Maintain current levels of documentation as per contractual obligations


• Assist with delivery of both on-premise & public cloud-based projects


• Facilitate/participate in engagements with client & 3rd party organisations on technology issues as required


• Generate infrastructure reporting


• Escalate issues which cannot be resolved within SLA & communicate with client


• Participate in ongoing continuous improvement activities

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• At least 5-6 years’ experience as a Wintel/Cloud Engineer in a managed service environment or large government agency


• Strong background in Active Directory, GPO, Certificates, Azure, M365, VMware


• VMware – vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, virtualization best practices


• Strong technical expertise in enterprise storage platforms, including Hitachi Vantara, Pure Storage, & HPE storage solutions, with experience in SAN design, administration, performance tuning, replication, & troubleshooting


• Proven experience managing & supporting enterprise backup and recovery environments, including Commvault, Arcserve, & Veeam, with a strong understanding of backup architecture, disaster recovery, data protection, & recovery testing.


• Experience with automation, scripting & coding


• Knowledge of security best practices & data protection principles


• Excellent communication & collaboration skills


• Certifications are a plus
