Job summary

NRI Australia & New Zealand’s Manila Global Delivery Centre is seeking a skilled Wintel Systems Engineer to support and maintain enterprise infrastructure across Windows Server, AD, Office 365, VMware ESXi, SCCM, storage and related systems.

You will contribute to on‑premise and public cloud projects, coordinate with vendors, and help ensure SLA adherence within a global, collaborative team based in Manila.

Qualifications

• 5-6+ years as a Wintel/Cloud Engineer in a managed service or large government agency.
• VMware vSphere / vCenter / ESXi expertise.
• Storage platforms: Hitachi, Pure Storage, HPE; SAN design & performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support & maintenance for Windows Server Infrastructure, AD, Office 365, VMware ESXi, SCCM, storage and related systems.
• Install, repair, patch and maintain existing technologies.
• Liaise with external vendors to ensure timely resolution of hardware/software issues.
• Maintain documentation as per contractual obligations.
• Assist with delivery of on-premise and public cloud projects.

Bring your expertise to our team as a Wintel Systems Engineer, who provide technical support and maintenance across enterprise infrastructure. The role involves managing and maintaining Windows Server Infrastructure, Active Directory Services, Office 365 (including Exchange Online), VMware ESXi, SCCM, physical servers, storage, and related systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide technical support & maintenance for Windows Server Infrastructure, File/Print Services, Active Directory Services, Office 365 including Exchange Online, VMware ESXi, SCCM, Physical Server, Storage and other systems.
• Install, repair, patch & maintain existing technologies.
• Utilise & comply with all relevant NRI methodologies, standards, processes & procedures, including but not limited to, the Business Management System (BMS) & Service Management Methodology (SMM)
• Liaise with external vendors as required to ensure timely resolution of hardware / software issues
• Maintain current levels of documentation as per contractual obligations
• Assist with delivery of both on-premise & public cloud-based projects
• Facilitate/participate in engagements with client & 3rd party organisations on technology issues as required
• Generate infrastructure reporting
• Escalate issues which cannot be resolved within SLA & communicate with client
• Participate in ongoing continuous improvement activities

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• At least 5-6 years' experience as a Wintel/Cloud Engineer in a managed service environment or large government agency
• VMware - vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, virtualization best practices
• Strong technical expertise in enterprise storage platforms, including Hitachi Vantara, Pure Storage, & HPE storage solutions, with experience in SAN design, administration, performance tuning, replication, & troubleshooting
• Proven experience managing & supporting enterprise backup and recovery environments, including Commvault, Arcserve, & Veeam, with a strong understanding of backup architecture, disaster recovery, data protection, & recovery testing.
• Experience with automation, scripting & coding
• Knowledge of security best practices & data protection principles
• Certifications are a plus
