Job summary

Remark Steel is seeking a seasoned Surveyor to perform site surveys, establish reference points, elevations, and alignments for structural works across multiple project sites in the Philippines. The role requires precise layout of anchor bolts and rigorous verification of as-built conditions against design drawings.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geodetic Engineering with at least 5 years of survey experience on construction projects, strong instrument proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geodetic Engineering, or related field
• At least 5 years of experience as a surveyor in structural or construction projects
• Proficient in using survey instruments (Total Station, Theodolite, Auto Level, GPS, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of structural layout, alignment, and elevation setting-out works
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and structural plans
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and mathematical skills
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD for survey data processing and reporting
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Physically fit and willing to be assigned to various project sites nationwide

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys to establish reference points, elevations, and alignment for structural works.
• Perform precise layout and setup of anchor bolts based on approved drawings and design coordinates.
• Check and verify as-built conditions, ensuring structural elements are installed within tolerance and design specifications.
• Prepare and submit as-built reports and survey data for review and documentation.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Management team to provide accurate survey data for fabrication, erection, and alignment works.
• Regularly calibrate and maintain survey instruments (e.g., total station, theodolite, level) to ensure accuracy.
• Coordinate with QA/QC and Construction teams during inspections and verification of structural layouts.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during all surveying operations.
• Identify potential discrepancies in layout or alignment and recommend corrective actions immediately.
• Support other civil and structural survey-related tasks as required by the project.
