Job summary

Lycopodium Philippines is currently recruiting a Senior Structural Designer to join our growing Structural Design team in Manila. You will lead design activities, mentor junior engineers and ensure designs meet project, client and regulatory standards.

The role requires expertise in AutoCAD and MicroStation, familiarity with fabrication and construction techniques in chemical, pharmaceutical or refinery process plants, and a track record in metals projects.

Qualifications

• University Degree in Engineering Design Drafting or 8+ years’ experience in a similar role with relevant industry experience.
• Proficiency in all aspects of AutoCAD and MicroStation software
• Understanding of fabrication and construction techniques in chemical, pharmaceutical or refinery process plants.
• Experience in gold, base metals and iron ore is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Be proficient in all aspects of AutoCAD and MicroStation software, complying with the necessary Company and project procedures.
• Produce structural designs that are in accordance with Project, Client and regulatory standards.
• Provide technical advice and support on planning and design process.
• Ensure project design data within your area of work is disseminated to other project team members in an efficient and timely manner.
• Contribute to the team's professional development by providing consistent mentoring and identify avenues of development.
• Proactively support other team members as required to ensure Project deliverables are met.
• Ensure a high level of communication is attained within the design team.
• Provide leadership, guidance and direction to the design team as required.
