Job summary

Lycopodium Philippines is currently recruiting a Senior Piping Designer to join our growing Piping Design team in Manila. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality piping designs and mentoring junior engineers.

You should be proficient in AutoCAD and MicroStation, have experience with OpenPlant Modeller and PID, and be able to ensure designs meet international standards. This is a full-time on-site role based in Manila.

Qualifications

• University Degree in Engineering Design Drafting or 8+ years' experience in a similar role.
• Sound understanding of fabrication and construction techniques in the materials handling industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Proficiency in design layout and detailing of chemical, pharmaceutical or refinery process plants.
• Experience in OpenPlant Modeller and PID.
• Experience in gold, base metals and iron ore is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Be proficient in all aspects of AutoCAD and MicroStation software, complying with project procedures.
• Produce piping designs that are in accordance with Project, Client and regulatory standards.
• Provide technical advice and support on planning and design process.
• Ensure drawings comply with Australian and International Standards.
• Ensure use of project design details and notes in production drawings.
• Mentor and develop team members, identifying avenues of development.
• Support other team members to ensure project deliverables are met.
• Maintain high level of communication within the design team.
• Provide leadership and direction to the design team as required.

The tasks you'll perform

• Be proficient in all aspects of AutoCAD and MicroStation software, complying with the necessary Company and project procedures.
• Produce piping designs that are in accordance with Project, Client and regulatory standards.
• Provide technical advice and support on planning and design process.
• Follow and implement all relevant Company standards and procedures and ensure design drawings comply with all relevant Australian and International Standards.
• Ensure the correct use of project defined standard design details and notes are used in the production of project design drawings.
• Contribute to the team's professional development by providing consistent mentoring and identify avenues of development.
• Proactively support other team members as required to ensure Project deliverables are met.
• Ensure a high level of communication is attained within the design team.
• Provide leadership, guidance and direction to the design team as required.

The expertise you'll bring
