Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Staff Firmware Engineer to develop high-performance controller firmware for memory systems and SSDs. You will evaluate, build, bench test, debug, and analyze firmware to boost performance while reducing power and SOC complexity.

Collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams is essential. Required 6–15 years in Embedded Firmware for Storage/SSD, strong C/assembly skills, and knowledge of NAND/NVMe interfaces.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 6–15 years in Embedded Firmware/SSD hardware domain is a strong plus.
• Strong firmware design and debugging in C and assembly.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize firmware for memory controllers and SSDs to improve performance and power efficiency.
• Triage failures, file bug reports, and assist teams in isolating issues.
• Bench test, debug, and analyze firmware; work with multi-disciplinary engineers in a fast-paced environment.
