Job summary

MicroSourcing seeks a Senior SRE / DevOps Engineer (AWS & Infrastructure as Code) to operate and scale our production AWS environment. You will design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, IaC with Terraform/AWS CDK/CloudFormation, and manage container deployments with Docker on ECS/Fargate, while ensuring observability and secure operations.

The role requires strong Linux scripting, PostgreSQL experience, and the ability to automate using AI tooling.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience operating AWS production systems (compute, networking, IAM, logging).
• Practical experience with Docker and production container deployment (ECS/Fargate).
• Proven experience designing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and IaC (Terraform/AWS CDK/CloudFormation).
• Strong Linux and shell scripting with Python for operational tooling.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, observability tools, and cloud security fundamentals.

Your Role

As a Senior SRE / DevOps Engineer (AWS & Infrastructure as Code), you will:

• Operate and maintain production AWS infrastructure, including containers, networking, IAM, databases, queues, and managed cloud services.
• Design and automate CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitHub Actions) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
• Manage production container deployments using Docker and ECS/Fargate container orchestration.
• Maintain system observability, logging, metrics, alerting, health checks, and PostgreSQL database operations including backups and capacity management.
• Leverage modern AI engineering tools (ChatGPT, Codex, Claude Code, Cursor) to automate scripts, inspect logs, and accelerate infrastructure workflows.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• Strong hands-on experience operating AWS production systems (compute, networking, IAM, logging, queues, databases).
• Practical experience with Docker and production container deployment (ECS/Fargate or equivalent orchestration).
• Proven experience designing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Pulumi).
• Strong Linux and shell scripting skills with enough Python proficiency to write operational tools and collaborate with developers.
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL operations, production observability tools, and cloud security fundamentals (IAM, secrets management, environment isolation).

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Demonstrated proficiency using AI coding and engineering tools (ChatGPT, Codex, Claude Code, Cursor) to accelerate DevOps workflows.
• Experience operating SQS, Redis, background workers, and asynchronous job schedulers.
• Experience diagnosing production failures across application logs, databases, queues, and external APIs.
• Familiarity operating Python/Flask web applications in production environments.
• Background in HIPAA-regulated, healthcare, or security-sensitive production environments.
