Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to operate and enhance our AWS production stack on Cebu, Philippines, including container orchestration with ECS/Fargate. Night shift expected and a fast-paced environment deliver resilient infrastructure and automation.

You will design CI/CD pipelines, implement IaC, and ensure observability, security, and database reliability while collaborating with global teams and utilizing AI tooling to optimize workflows.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience operating AWS production systems (compute, networking, IAM, logging, queues, databases).
• Practical experience with Docker and production container deployment (ECS/Fargate or equivalent orchestration).
• Proven experience designing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Pulumi).
• Strong Linux and shell scripting skills with enough Python proficiency to write operational tools and collaborate with developers.
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL operations, production observability tools, and cloud security fundamentals (IAM, secrets management, environment isolation).

Your Role

As a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer (AWS / Containers), you will:

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• Proven experience designing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Pulumi).

• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL operations, production observability tools, and cloud security fundamentals (IAM, secrets management, environment isolation).

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Demonstrated proficiency using AI coding and engineering tools (ChatGPT, Codex, Claude Code, Cursor) to accelerate DevOps workflows.
• Experience operating SQS, Redis, background workers, and asynchronous job schedulers.
• Experience diagnosing production failures across application logs, databases, queues, and external APIs.
• Familiarity operating Python/Flask web applications in production environments.
• Background in HIPAA-regulated, healthcare, or security-sensitive production environments.
