Job summary

EPAM Systems seeks a Senior Solution Architect (AI & Data Platform) to shape a cohesive data environment spanning Snowflake and AWS. You will coordinate architectural direction with senior stakeholders while staying closely engaged with engineering delivery and hands-on code contributions.

The role requires leadership of large data and AI initiatives, extensive Snowflake/AWS expertise, Python/SQL, Kafka, Airflow, and English at B2 level or higher.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data engineering or data architecture
• 3+ years leading a team of 40+ members
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale AI and data transformation programs
• Snowflake expertise with data modeling and performance tuning
• AWS proficiency including S3, Lambda, Glue, IAM
• Strong Python and SQL for data platform development
• Hands-on with Kafka and Airflow in production
• Knowledge of AI/ML workflows and agent-based systems
• English at B2 level or higher

We are seeking a Senior Solution Architect (AI & Data Platform) to shape a cohesive data environment and AI-driven workflows spanning Snowflake and AWS. You will coordinate architectural direction with senior stakeholders while staying closely engaged with engineering delivery and hands-on code contributions.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a gap analysis of the existing data and AI architecture ecosystem
• Design and roll out a unified data platform that covers both Snowflake and AWS
• Define AI workflow architecture that enables scalability while reducing technical debt
• Partner with senior leadership and data platform teams to align on priorities and goals
• Review, guide, and personally contribute to code development to maintain delivery momentum
• Promote best practices across data engineering and AI architecture areas

Requirements

• Strong background with 10 or more years of experience in data engineering or data architecture
• Minimum of 3 years leading a team consisting of at least 40 members
• Participation in no fewer than 8 full-cycle projects, or across multiple projects covering various phases of the development lifecycle
• Demonstrated success in delivering enterprise-scale AI and data transformation programs
• Extensive expertise in Snowflake, including data modeling and performance tuning
• Practical proficiency with AWS offerings such as S3, Lambda, Glue, and IAM
• Advanced capabilities in Python and SQL for developing data platforms
• Applied experience with Kafka and Airflow within production settings
• Solid foundation in AI/ML workflows and the design of agent-based systems
• Well-developed understanding of data platform consolidation strategies and their associated trade-offs
• English proficiency at B2 (Upper-Intermediate) level or higher
