Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Solution Architect (AI & Data Platform) to shape a unified data platform and AI-driven workflows across Snowflake and AWS. You will align architecture with senior stakeholders while staying hands-on with engineering execution and code contributions.

With 8+ years in data engineering/architecture and leadership experience, you will drive AI transformations, optimize data models, and deliver scalable data architectures in a global, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering/architecture.
• At least 2 years of leading a team (≥20 people).
• Experience in full-cycle projects across the SDLC.
• Proven enterprise AI/data transformation delivery.
• Snowflake data modeling and performance tuning.
• AWS services (S3, Lambda, Glue, IAM).
• Strong Python and SQL skills for data platform development.
• Production familiarity with Kafka and Airflow.
• Background in AI/ML workflows and agent-based systems.
• Knowledge of data platform consolidation strategies.

• Perform a gap analysis of the existing data and AI architecture

Requirements

• Proven track record with 8+ years of experience in data engineering/architecture
• At least 2 years of experience in leading a team (at least 20 employees)
• At least 2 full-cycle project participation experiences or participation in several projects covering different phases of the development lifecycle
• Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise AI/data transformations
• Deep expertise in Snowflake, including data modeling and performance tuning
• Hands‑on proficiency in AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Glue, and IAM
• Strong skills in Python and advanced SQL for data platform development
• Practical familiarity with Kafka and Airflow in production environments
• Solid background in AI/ML workflows and agent-based systems
• Clear understanding of data platform consolidation strategies and trade-offs
• English proficiency at B2 (Upper-Intermediate) level or higher
