Job summary

Blueberry, Taguig-based, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Operate squad to design, build, and maintain backend services and internal apps. You will own features across C#/.NET, PostgreSQL, React, and TypeScript, influencing real-time trade processing and reporting systems.

The role combines backend focus with frontend work, and requires leadership, collaboration, and a drive for reliability and scalability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong commercial experience in C#/.NET.
• Strong experience designing relational databases, schema modelling, migrations, and PostgreSQL performance optimisation.
• Experience building asynchronous or event-driven systems using queues, streams, or workflow engines.
• Commercial experience developing modern frontend applications using React, Vue, Angular, or similar frameworks.
• Experience building and supporting cloud-based applications, deployment pipelines, and production infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including testing, debugging, version control, and system design.
• Experience delivering end-to-end software solutions across backend, frontend, databases, and deployment.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot production issues using logs, monitoring, tracing, and observability tools.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
• Comfortable taking ownership, navigating ambiguity, and delivering practical solutions to complex business challenges.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs supporting real-time trade processing and operational workflows.
• Develop reliable background services and long-running processes that handle high transaction volumes with resilience and accuracy.
• Design and optimise PostgreSQL databases, schema structures, and query performance to ensure data integrity and scalability.
• Build systems that prioritise correctness, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Develop and enhance internal business applications and back-office portals using React and TypeScript.
• Deliver end-to-end features spanning database design, backend APIs, background processing, frontend development, and deployment.
• Build reporting capabilities and operational dashboards that provide timely, accurate business insights.
• Continuously improve internal tools that support Operations, Finance, and Support teams.
• Invest in production issues resolution via logs, metrics, traces, and monitoring tools.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and reliability risks before they become business problems.
• Improve observability, monitoring, deployment practices, and platform resilience.
• Help ensure business-critical systems remain stable under production workloads.
• Write clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested production code.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to raising engineering standards across the squad.
• Mentor fellow engineers through knowledge sharing and technical guidance.
• Partner closely with Operations, Finance, Product, and Support teams to build practical solutions.
