UnionBank is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead hands‑on development of mobile and web applications at UnionBank Plaza, Ortigas, Pasig. You will contribute to solution architecture, design decisions, and effort estimates while ensuring scalable, secure software aligned with business needs.

The role requires delivering high‑quality code, collaborating with delivery teams, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in iOS and Android development and cross‑platform options (Xamarin, Flutter, React Native).
• Proficient in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, MySQL/SQL (3+ years).
• Front‑end development for mobile or web apps (3+ years).
• Back‑end languages: PHP, Python, Ruby, Java, .NET, JavaScript (3+ years).
• Experience with libraries/frameworks like AngularJS, ReactJS (3+ years).
• Familiar with blockchain tech: smart contracts on Ethereum/Hyperledger/Corda.
• Familiar with Agile (Scrum/Kanban); user story estimation, design, CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and develop mobile and web applications for clients.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and contribute to solution architecture.
• Participate in architecture and system design of mobile apps.
• Ensure security, data protection, and maintain code quality and documentation.
• Coordinate with product teams to deliver user stories on time and on budget.
• Provide root‑cause analysis for issues and suggest solutions with the team.
• Keep up with latest web development standards and benchmarks.
• Support automated testing and CI/CD practices.
