Job summary

MCVO Talent is seeking a Senior Software Developer to maintain and extend a healthcare compliance platform used by educational institutions. You will work on legacy and modern tech in a regulated environment, handling HIPAA compliance, HL7 messaging, and integrations with external systems.

The role emphasizes secure data exchange, API development, and performance optimizations. Remote-friendly with a contract/full-time arrangement and collaboration across IT, QA, DevOps, and Product teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
• At least 3 years of C# and .NET Framework development.
• Minimum 2 years in SQL Server database design and development.
• Experience with ASP.NET Web Forms and MVC framework.
• Experience in regulated industries (healthcare, education, or financial services).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain complex web applications using C#, .NET Framework 4.8, .NET 9, ASP.NET Web Forms, and MVC.
• Create and optimize database structures, stored procedures, and queries in SQL Server.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and SOAP services for system integrations.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established coding standards.
• Integrate with state immunization registries and external healthcare systems.
• Process and parse HL7 healthcare messaging standards.
• Implement secure data exchange protocols and file transfer systems.
• Ensure all healthcare data handling meets HIPAA compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with healthcare partners on technical integration requirements.
