Job summary

Belisar, a Boston-based CRM designed for government contracting, is seeking a seasoned full-stack software engineer to build our platform from the ground up. You will own features end-to-end, work directly with leadership, and ship high-impact systems used by government teams.

You'll design scalable architectures, mentor peers, and contribute to AI-enabled workflows across backend services, frontend interfaces, and data pipelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering with leadership on complex systems.
• Hands-on coder who leads while still building.
• Experience as Tech Lead, Senior/Staff, or startup founder.
• Web apps with React/Next.js and strong UX sense.
• Backend using Django, FastAPI, or Node.js with solid SQL and design.
• Experience with AI/LLM-powered systems or workflows.
• Familiar with AWS/GCP/Azure and tooling like Redis, OAuth.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of complex, full-stack systems across the stack.
• Review code, maintain standards, mentor engineers.
• Collaborate with Sales, Mission Ops, and Marketing to align product delivery.
• Drive workflows and releases for smooth deployments.
• Contribute to AI-enabled product integrations and backend services.
• Assist in growing the engineering team through hiring interviews.
