Job summary

ProSource, a leader in building and managing distributed tech teams, seeks a Senior Software Engineer. You will contribute across the stack with Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, React, and AWS, delivering end-to-end features and automated tests while collaborating with Product and UX. AI-assisted development experience is a plus.

You will own features from design through release, diagnose defects, review code, and participate in agile ceremonies to ensure high-quality, timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Ruby on Rails and JavaScript across full stack.
• Strong SQL and database design experience.
• Experience building Single Page Applications.
• Ext.js experience is a plus.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, AWS, REST APIs and third‑party integrations.
• Experience with automated testing (RSpec) and React.
• Experience developing AI solutions (LangChain, Bedrock).

Responsibilities

• Hands-on development and writing production‑ready code across the full stack.
• Own features end to end: implementation, tests, reviews, and release support.
• Diagnose and resolve defects across the stack and review peers' PRs.
• Contribute to design discussions, surface risks, and plan work before coding.
• Break tasks into realistic estimates and collaborate with Product and UX.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and communicate progress clearly.
• Use AI tooling as part of the development lifecycle and ensure accountability.
• Deliver quality and maintain automated test coverage.
• Follow CI/CD and release processes and share knowledge with the pod.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong experience in Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, SQL, and Single Page Applications. The role involves developing and delivering end-to-end features, writing automated tests, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating closely with Product and UX teams. Experience with React, AWS, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, or AI-assisted development is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Hands-On Development Write high-quality, production-ready code across the full stack

Own assigned features end to end: implementation, automated tests, code review, and support through release Diagnose and resolve defects across the stack Review pull requests from peers and provide specific, actionable feedback

Technical Contribution Implement solutions within the architecture and platform standards established for the pod Contribute to technical design discussions and implementation planning; surface risks, tradeoffs, and edge cases before work begins rather than after

Break assigned work into tasks and provide realistic estimates Collaboration & Communication Work directly with Product Management and UX to clarify requirements and confirm acceptance criteria before building

Participate actively in agile ceremonies — planning, daily standup, refinement, and retrospective Communicate progress, blockers, and scope changes proactively Share knowledge with the pod and support less experienced engineers

AI-Assisted Development Use approved AI and agentic development tooling as a normal part of the software development lifecycle Remain personally accountable for all code submitted, whether AI-generated or hand-written

Participate in knowledge sharing on effective AI-assisted development practices Quality & Delivery Deliver predictably against commitments, and flag slippage as soon as it is known

Write and maintain automated test coverage for delivered code Follow established engineering standards, branching, CI/CD, and release processes

Qualifications:
