Job summary

Software Ventures International is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and deploy high‑quality software systems in Ortigas, Pasig City.

You will translate complex user requirements into robust technical specifications, ensure best practices, and drive code quality across the team. The role requires 5+ years of hands‑on software development with Java and Python, SQL/NoSQL databases, RESTful APIs, Docker, and AWS, and you must be onsite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Minimum of 5 years hands-on software development experience.
• Understanding of containerization and Docker experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work onsite in Ortigas, Pasig City.
• Backend: Java and Python; Databases: MySQL, Oracle, MariaDB and SOLR; NoSQL Cassandra; RESTful APIs; GitHub/GitLab; AWS.

• Translate user requirements and system designs into clear, efficient program specifications and working code.

Quality Assurance & Testing

• Design and create comprehensive test plans, specifications, and data to ensure program compliance with all system requirements.

• Perform Quality Assurance (QA) functions, including monitoring work and providing team support to maintain high-quality code.

Qualifications & Technical Skills

• Databases : Familiarity with SQL (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, MariaDB) and SOLR is required.
• Working experience with NoSQL (e.g., Cassandra)
• APIs : Extensive knowledge of RESTful API services.
• Version Control : Solid understanding and experience with source version control (e.g., GitHub, GitLab).
• Cloud : Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS.
