Job summary

AMCS Group is hiring a senior software developer to build and maintain cloud-based environmental software solutions. You will work within a team using the latest .NET technologies, contribute to design and testing, and collaborate with offshore and internal teams to deliver high-quality software.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, delivery of project updates to leadership, and active participation in agile processes.

Qualifications

• Experience with .NET stack and RESTful services.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL/Azure SQL).
• Proficiency in C# and object-oriented design.
• Experience writing unit tests and working with agile teams.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes basics and web security concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain environmental software products per requirements.
• Contribute to specification, development, and testing of software to defined standards.
• Deliver software projects as stand-alone or part of agile/offshore teams.

What You'll Do

Developing, enhancing, and maintaining our environmental software products in accordance with agreed requirements and designs, including:

• Member of a team of software developers using latest versions of Microsoft .Net

• Contributing to the specification, development, and test of software solutions to defined standards.

• Delivery of software development projects both as stand-alone and as a team member of internal agile and outsourced development teams.

• Develop and deliver project updates to senior management.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong technical knowledge of Web Technologies such as .NET, Asp.NetWeb API, REST

• Understanding Relational Databases (we use Postgres and Azure SQL, but any other experience would do)

• Strong experience with latest C#

• Good knowledge of Object-Oriented Design and Development

• Familiar with security mechanisms including web and web service security and their implementations.

• Experience in writing Unit test cases

• Understanding Kubernetes basics

What You Bring

• 5-10 years’ experience in an Information Technology environment, specializing in Software Development, would be a distinct advantage.

• Good communication and personal skills, able to communicate clearly, effectively, and form effective working relationships with customers, colleagues, suppliers and third parties.

• High levels of drive and energy.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

• Enthusiasm and general interest in Software Development.

• A passion for user interface

• Commitment to on-going personal development
