Job description

• Lead execution of major projects and multi-component initiatives across the full software development lifecycle
• Design, develop, test, deploy, launch, and enhance web-based applications
• Make independent technical decisions and translate complex requirements into actionable designs
• Partner with Engineering Manager, Architect, Product Manager, and engineering teams on goals and technical direction
• Own projects end-to-end with minimal guidance and drive resolution of operational issues
• Create project plans, break down epics, and define milestones and acceptance criteria
• Champion coding standards, quality assurance, and configuration management
• Lead code reviews, coach teammates, improve processes, reduce toil, and simplify systems
• Design and optimize database solutions for performance, data access, and reliability at scale
• Lead production troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, remediation, observability, and operational safeguards
• Own system-level design and manage infrastructure, integrations, and cross-system dependencies
• Coordinate across teams and align stakeholders to resolve technical dependencies
• Mentor engineers, contribute to hiring, and foster a collaborative team culture
• Drive continuous improvement in team planning, measurement, and delivery

Requirements

• Graduate or postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on software development experience
• Experience owning production systems and providing technical leadership on multi-component initiatives
• C# (.NET Core, .NET Framework), TypeScript, NestJS, and Node.js
• Microservices and event-driven architecture using Apache Kafka or other event processing services
• React.js or Angular
• AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, EFS, ECS, EKS, API Gateway, SQS, IAM, and VPC
• MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and DocumentDB
• Docker and Kubernetes
• Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, YAML, and PowerShell
• Splunk, ELK Stack, or DataDog
• Unit Testing, BDD, and TDD
• RESTful APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, and API design
• Git-based source-code management and code review practices
• Jira and Agile/Scrum practices
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and stakeholder-management skills
• Effective use of AI tools such as Cursor, Claude, or Pi and agentic coding assistants
• Knowledge of Python, Databricks, or AWS/Azure Developer certification is nice to have
