Job summary

PropNex Realty Pte Ltd seeks a senior PHP developer to architect and deliver scalable enterprise web applications. You will work with Laravel and modern frontend tech, design robust RESTful APIs, and optimise databases while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deploy secure, high-performance solutions.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years of PHP/J2EE-like experience, strong OOP/MVC skills, and knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/SE or related field.
• 7+ years of enterprise PHP development with Laravel; CodeIgniter an advantage.
• Strong PHP, OOP, MVC, SQL, database design, RESTful API.
• Frontend: JavaScript/HTML5/CSS3; React or Vue.js a plus.
• Git/Bitbucket, CI/CD, Agile practices.
• Familiar with Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, Apache/Nginx, AWS or similar.
• Knowledge of Redis, WebSocket, caching, queues, OWASP secure coding preferable.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools and integrating AI services.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in Singapore business/regulatory environment is a plus.

Job description

Responsibilities

1. Analyse business requirements and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications.

2. Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using PHP (Laravel) and modern frontend technologies.

3. Develop and integrate RESTful APIs with internal and external systems.

4. Design and Optimise SQL queries, databases, and application performance.

5. Perform code reviews, testing, debugging, deployment, and production support.

6. Apply software engineering best practices to build secure and reliable applications.

7. Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.

8. Collaborate with business users and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative digital solutions.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

2. Minimum 7 years of enterprise PHP application development experience, with strong expertise in Laravel. Experience with CodeIgniter will be an advantage.

3. Strong proficiency in PHP, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), MVC architecture, SQL, relational databases, data modelling, and RESTful API development.

4. Proficient in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, responsive web development, and modern frontend frameworks. Experience with React or Vue.js will be an advantage.

5. Experience with Git/Bitbucket, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile software development practices.

6. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, Apache/Nginx, AWS or other cloud platforms will be an advantage.

7. Knowledge of Redis, WebSocket, caching, message queues, application performance optimisation, and OWASP secure coding practices is preferred.

8. Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor). Experience integrating AI services or LLM APIs into enterprise applications will be an advantage.

9. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

10. Experience working within Singapore's business or regulatory environment will be an advantage.
