Job summary

Cerebras Systems is seeking an experienced Software Architect for its manufacturing test platform. You will lead Full Stack Engineers, own the technical vision, and deliver end-to-end software across cloud and on-site client-server systems.

You will collaborate with hardware design, data analytics, and operations to scale production and ensure quality. The role requires 8+ years in software engineering, leadership experience, and deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud, and data storage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, incl. 2+ years in technical leadership/architect roles.
• Experience designing and delivering large-scale full-stack systems, incl. distributed data apps.
• Proficiency in at least one advanced language (Python or C++) and modern full-stack practices.
• Experience architecting software for hardware manufacturing environments, e.g., MES/test data, quality control.
• Experience building client-server software with robust APIs and deployment patterns.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), IaC, CI/CD, production ops.
• Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Redis) databases.
• Strong grounding in front-end technologies and UI frameworks.
• Mentoring and leading technical projects end-to-end with cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and own technical architecture and long-term roadmap for the manufacturing test software platform.
• Lead and mentor a team of Full Stack Engineers, setting standards for code quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with hardware, test, data, and operations teams to translate requirements into scalable designs.
• Drive architectural decisions across stack: frontend, APIs, databases, cloud, and on‑prem infra.
• Conduct design/code reviews, guide trade-offs, and ensure secure, maintainable systems.
• Partner with leadership on planning, prioritization, and cross-functional discussions.
• Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, and scalability.
