Job summary

NCS is seeking a senior Requirements Definition and Architecture Specialist in the Philippines to transform user requirements into scalable architectural designs. The role covers application, database, and infrastructure design, with emphasis on integration, security, and performance across the solution landscape.

You will collaborate with project stakeholders, engineers, and analysts to ensure alignment with architectural principles, deliverables, and project goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in IT, CS, Engineering or related field.
• At least 5 years in Software Development delivering technical solutions like system architecture, infrastructure design, and database structure.
• At least 2 years in software engineer roles (web and mobile app development).
• Strong knowledge of OOP and software design patterns.
• Proficiency in PHP, Java, Python, and .NET.
• Experience with Infra as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with integration protocols (Smpp, Emiucp, HTTP).
• Experience with public/social APIs (Google API, others).
• Version control (SVN, Git).
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
• Collaboration and documentation tools (Confluence, Jira, Asana, Trello).
• Cloud experience in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud is a plus.
• Knowledge of TOGAF or Zachman frameworks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participates in proposal generation: review requirements, design features and estimates.
• Translates requirements into high-level design and coordinates with stakeholders.
• Provides technical solutions for architecture, infrastructure, and integration needs.
• Architect end-to-end solutions with detailed component designs ensuring scalability, security, and deliverability.
• Designs system components and integration strategies for interoperability.
• Applies standard data modeling to design physical data stores.
• Creates and maintains architecture documentation and guidelines.
• Reviews designs and code to ensure alignment with architecture and quality standards.
• Collaborates with project stakeholders to drive consensus on technical solutions.
• Participates in training, design, documentation, and delivery efforts with the Project Manager.
