Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Salesforce Solutions Architect to serve as a strategic and hands‑on partner in maximizing the effectiveness of our Salesforce platform. This role is responsible for evaluating the current Salesforce implementation, identifying opportunities to improve how the platform supports sales and service operations, and designing and building scalable, best‑practice solutions within Salesforce.

The architect will work closely with Salesforce Delivery Lead, Administrators, and business stakeholders. This is a delivery‑focused architect role and is expected to assess the day‑today use of Salesforce, identify gaps or inefficiencies in platform utilization, translate those insights into well‑architected design solutions. Will require building / refactoring solutions while also establishing the standards, integration patterns, and governance guardrails that keep the platform healthy as it grows.

This role balances platform enablement and business partnership with strong architectural governance and implementation discipline, ensuring improvements enhance business outcomes without introducing unnecessary complexity or technical debt.

Key Responsibilities
Platform Enablement & Business Partnership
  • Partner closely with Salesforce Administrators and business stakeholders to understand how Salesforce currently supports sales and service workflows.
  • Evaluate platform usage, user adoption, and workflow execution to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, usability, and effectiveness.
  • Recommend platform enhancements that enable sales and service teams while remaining aligned with Salesforce with best practices and architectural standards.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by connecting platform design decisions to operational outcomes (revenue, cost, productivity, risk, customer experience), ensuring Salesforce capabilities are used intentionally and appropriately.
Salesforce Org Assessment & Architecture
  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the existing Salesforce org, including:
    • Data model, data quality, standard and custom objects
    • Automation (Flows, legacy Process Builder and workflows)
    • Security model, profiles, permission sets, and sharing
    • Integrations, APIs, and data flows
    • Technical debt, scalability risks, and performance concerns
  • Identify architectural anti‑patterns and areas where the platform has been over‑or under‑customized.
  • Document findings and present clear, actionable recommendations.
Roadmap, Standards & Governance
  • Develop a prioritized roadmap that balances near‑term business enablement with long‑term platform health.
  • Define and document Salesforce standards and guardrails, including:
    • Naming conventions and configuration guidelines
    • Automation and integration patterns
    • Data quality and lifecycle management practices
    • Sandbox strategy, deployment, and release / change management
  • Establish governance practices that enable innovation while preventing future technical debt.
Implementation & Delivery
  • Lead and execute the implementation of new Salesforce modules and capabilities (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, custom solutions).
  • Refactor or redesign existing configurations and automation to improve scalability, maintainability, and alignment with standards.
  • Design and implement integrations with external systems using APIs or middleware where appropriate.
  • Ensure changes are properly tested, deployed, and documented.
Collaboration & Knowledge Transfer
  • Produce clear documentation to support long‑term ownership, maintainability, and operational continuity.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure consistent architectural alignment.
  • Mentor and support Salesforce Administrators by reinforcing best practices, architectural principles, and enable upskilling internal resources.
Required Skill & Qualifications
  • 8–15+ years of Salesforce of deep expertise and hands on in the following areas:
    • Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, CPQ, and related Salesforce products
    • Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), declarative automation (Flows), and Salesforce security
    • Integration technologies (REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, external systems)
    • Enterprise data modeling, migration, and governance
    • CI/CD, DevOps, Salesforce DX, and structured release management practices
    • Salesforce configuration and customization
    • Data modeling and security architecture
    • Significant responsibility for solution design and architecture
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating existing Salesforce implementations and driving platform improvements
  • Proven ability to balance business needs with technical discipline and platform standards.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical decisions in business terms.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Salesforce certifications such as:
    • Salesforce Certified Application Architect
    • Salesforce Certified System Architect
    • Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or progress toward CTA
  • Experience working in environments with complex sales, service operations, and / or multi‑org Salesforce implementations.
  • Prior consulting or advisory experience performing org assessments and roadmap development.
  • Ticket management systems Fresh Service, Service Now
  • Agile Methodologies / Jira

  • Clear, documented standards and architectural guardrails are in place and being followed.
