Job summary

Coforge is hiring a Release Engineer to define and support our release processes and tools for mission critical services. You will work closely with software, platform, QA and test automation teams to enable fast, reliable production releases.

You will develop self-service deployment tools, automate quality controls, and collaborate with DevOps while migrating applications to AWS. Strong GitHub/Jenkins skills and SDLC knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

4–5 years working in an enterprise software organization.
3+ years real world experience with Release Management discipline and processes.
Excellent knowledge with GitHub, support with git PR merge, pull, sync issues.
Jenkins: managing Jenkins jobs / pipeline DSLs.
Nice to have: Python scripting.
Excellent facilitation, organization and collaboration skills.
Knowledge in SDLC methodologies, Agile preferred.
Good understanding of Microservices, Serverless/EKS and API Driven Architecture.
Effective team player with the ability to influence and negotiate.
Experience in driving release process improvements and automation.
Self-starter passionate about automation and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Define and support release processes and tools for mission critical services.
Work with Software, Platform, QA and Test Automation teams for bi-weekly releases.
Develop self-service tools to automate production deployments with quality controls.
Collaborate with DevOps to migrate applications to AWS.
Automate release and compliance processes where needed.
Troubleshoot builds, deployments and connectivity issues.
