Job summary

Astound Digital seeks a skilled React Frontend Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable headless commerce interfaces using React.js, SF PWA Kit, and SFCC APIs. You will develop robust BFF layers, reusable UI components, and optimize performance within the Salesforce MRT environment.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and drive code quality with automated testing and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of React.js frontend development in an eCommerce/API-driven environment.
• 3+ years building Salesforce Composable Storefronts with SF PWA Kit.
• 2+ years leading a team.
• 1+ year with Remix, React Router v7, or Next.js (SSR).
• Strong SFCC B2C knowledge including SLAS, SCAPI, and OCAPI.
• Experience with atomic design, TailwindCSS, and Storybook.
• Proficient in web performance and modern testing (Jest/Vitest/Playwright/Cypress).
• Bachelor’s or Master in Computer Science and excellent English.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable headless commerce architectures using React.js, SF PWA Kit, and modern CSS frameworks.
• Design and implement BFF layers to orchestrate data from SF APIs into the storefront.
• Build reusable UI components with atomic design, Storybook, and mocks.
• Optimize apps for performance within Salesforce MRT and Core Web Vitals.
• Collaborate with backend/DevOps to deliver end-to-end user experiences.
• Set quality standards with automated tests and comprehensive docs.
• Lead knowledge-sharing sessions and mentor engineers.
• Gain exposure to AI-native coding tools and SpecKit development.
