Job summary

TE Connectivity Corporation in Batangas invites an experienced STAFF R&D/PRODUCT DVL ENGINEER to lead the technical development of socket, high-speed connector, and cable assembly solutions from concept through release.

You will collaborate across global teams, translate customer needs into rigorous specifications, run feasibility studies and simulations, build prototypes, and support manufacturing and QA on new products.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
8+ years of relevant mechanical engineering work experience with electrical components, devices, or mechanical design.
Knowledge in socket design and connector design.
Knowledge in material selection, tolerance analysis, DFMEA, product qualification.
Proficient in 3D design applications (Creo, SpaceClaim).
Proficient in GD&T.
Experience with finite element analysis software (Ansys, Workbench).
Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Ability to work in a global environment with varying time zones.
Strong problem-solving with data analytics and critical thinking.

Responsibilities

Lead product development from market definition through production and release.
Translate VOC with customer and TE teams into design specifications.
Create detailed design including 2D/3D drawings and perform DFMEA/tolerance analysis.
Build prototype samples and perform validation.
Provide technical support to Operations, Quality and Production.
Manage ECN/PCN (Engineering Change Notifications).
Collaborate with global manufacturing, procurement, and outside suppliers.
Drive stage-gate reviews to ensure milestones are met.
