You will review drawings and specs, use AutoCAD to verify quantities, prepare BOQs, and analyze unit rates, productivity references, and risks that may impact bid performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Experience in construction estimating and BOQ preparation.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and advanced MS Excel.
• Familiarity with estimating tools and SketchUp is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of detailed estimates based on plans, specifications, and tender requirements
• Review take-off outputs for completeness, accuracy, and revision alignment
• Use AutoCAD to verify quantities and resolve measurement gaps from drawings
• Validate supplier pricing and build unit rate analyses
• Maintain and update productivity rate references used for estimating
• Prepare BOQ and estimate summaries for internal review and submission
• Document assumptions, inclusions/exclusions, and clarifications for controlled revisions
• Identify key cost drivers and estimate risks affecting bid performance
