Job summary

MicroSourcing International in Cebu is seeking a Senior QA Tester for the Agentic Web Application. You will create and execute test plans, conduct functional, regression, and end-to-end testing of web UI, APIs, databases, queues, and external services.

You will develop automated tests with Playwright or pytest, investigate failures with logs and tools, and collaborate with engineers to improve testability and observability. Night shift onsite is required.

Qualifications

• Professional QA/testing experience with production web applications.
• Ability to analyze behavior across UI, APIs, databases, and asynchronous systems.
• Experience using browser developer tools and HTTP/API requests.
• Clear, concise, reproducible, and evidence-based bug reports.
• Experience with test automation using Playwright, pytest, Selenium, or Cypress.
• Experience testing AI agents, voice agents, or non-deterministic AI products.
• Hands-on Playwright experience for end-to-end browser automation.
• SQL skills to validate application state in a relational database.
• Willingness to work onsite in Cebu and support a night-shift schedule.

Your Role

As a Senior QA Tester - Agentic Web Application, you will:

• Create and execute practical test plans for new features, bug fixes, integrations, and production releases.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end‑to‑end testing across web UI, APIs, databases, queues, background workers, and external services.
• Validate AI and voice agent workflows, including instructions, tool calls, state management, ambiguity handling, failure recovery, and expected outcomes.
• Develop repeatable automated tests using Playwright, pytest, API testing, or other appropriate testing tools.
• Investigate failures using browser developer tools, screenshots, video, network requests, database state, queue/job status, application logs, and external‑service responses.
• Test authentication, permissions, invalid data, duplicate requests, retries, delayed webhooks, timeouts, provider outages, race conditions, and partial failures.
• Validate data integrity across patient and practice configuration, call records, appointments, transcripts, job states, and downstream system updates.
• Document clear and reproducible defects with detailed reproduction steps, expected versus actual results, evidence, severity, environment, and likely failure points.
• Collaborate directly with engineers to validate fixes, identify recurring quality gaps, and improve application testability and observability.
• Use AI tools to generate edge cases, build test scenarios, analyze logs, inspect code, reproduce failures, and accelerate test automation.
• Follow asynchronous workflows beyond the browser to verify that background processing and downstream integrations complete successfully.

What You Need

Non‑negotiables

• Professional QA/testing experience with production web applications, including strong exploratory and regression testing skills.
• Ability to analyze application behavior across UI, APIs, databases, and asynchronous systems.
• Experience using browser developer tools and understanding HTTP/API requests, responses, payloads, status codes, and authentication failures.
• Strong ability to create clear, concise, reproducible, and evidence‑based bug reports.
• Comfort reading application logs and basic code to investigate defects.
• Experience with test automation using Playwright, pytest, Selenium, Cypress, or comparable tools.
• Demonstrated proficiency using AI tools such as GPT/ChatGPT, Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, or comparable platforms as part of the QA workflow.
• Strong attention to data quality, privacy, permissions, security, and failure behavior.
• Experience testing LLMs, conversational AI, voice agents, tool‑calling systems, or other non‑deterministic AI products.
• Hands‑on Playwright experience, including end‑to‑end browser automation and troubleshooting flaky tests.
• Experience testing queues, background workers, webhooks, retries, scheduled jobs, or event‑driven systems.
• SQL skills sufficient to validate application state directly in a relational database.
• Experience with AWS/CloudWatch and healthcare, EHR/FHIR, or other security‑and‑privacy‑sensitive applications.
• Ability to identify meaningful failures before they reach customers, particularly cross‑system and edge‑case failures.
• Ability to work onsite in Cebu and support a night‑shift schedule.

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Experience testing Python/Flask applications and REST APIs.
• Experience with pytest, pytest‑cov, Playwright, mocked API responses, and integration or sandbox test scripts.
• Experience testing PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy, Alembic, Redis, and AWS SQS workflows.
• Experience with Docker, GitHub Actions, staging environments, and production release validation.
• Experience with AWS services such as ECS, S3, RDS, ElastiCache/Redis, SQS, Secrets Manager, SES, Bedrock, and CloudWatch.
• Experience testing third‑party integrations such as Twilio, Auth0, HubSpot, Slack, OpenAI APIs, voice/AI providers, or EHR/FHIR systems.
• Experience validating browser automation and practice‑management system workflows.
• Experience testing asynchronous and distributed systems where a successful browser response does not necessarily mean the workflow has completed.
• Experience creating test matrices and reusable regression suites for complex, integration‑heavy applications.
• Experience testing AI agents based on behavioral invariants, guardrails, tool usage, state transitions, and outcomes rather than exact generated wording.
• Experience working in healthcare, HIPAA‑regulated, EHR, FHIR, or other highly regulated environments.
• Experience using AI‑assisted QA workflows to increase test coverage and convert repetitive manual checks into automation.
