Job summary

Encora Inc. is seeking a QE Specialist to ensure quality and performance of software products with emphasis on performance, automation, error-recovery, resiliency, and configurability. Location is Paseo De Roxas, Makati City, with a contract, WFH/Hybrid work mode.

6–8 years experience required, Bachelor’s in CS/Software Eng, strong Python and SQL skills, and experience with automation frameworks. The role involves driving testing plans across multiple quarters, identifying root causes, and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
5+ years software testing experience.
Advanced Python programming skills.
Solid experience with SQL.
Solid experience and understanding of at least one open-sourced test automation framework (e.g. Behave).
Experience with command line GIT.
Knowledge in CI/CD pipelines and experience integrating test automation to them.
Experience with Docker.
Pure automation testing with AI knowledge and/or experience (Selenium, AWS, CI/CD).

Responsibilities

Deep understanding of feature architecture/implementation and avoidance of redundant testing.
Expertise in frontend, backend, automation testing, and related areas.
Plan and drive testing across projects spanning multiple quarters and teams.
Identify non-obvious flaws and under-specified scenarios in specifications.
Determine when to automate vs. run tests manually.
Identify root causes of bugs in domain areas.
Drive quality process improvements with impact.
Advise on quality metrics and use data to advocate product improvements.
