Job summary

Nelnet Philippines, Inc. is hiring a Senior QA Engineer to ensure the quality of our payments platform. You will drive automation, build scalable test frameworks, and own end-to-end testing for critical payment flows.

You will mentor teammates, identify edge cases, and partner with engineering to embed testability from the early design stages. This role suits strong hands-on testers with automation and AI tooling experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in QA/test engineering in complex software environments.
• Experience building automated test frameworks (API-level and end-to-end).
• Comfort with distributed systems and high-stakes data integrity.
• Scripting fluency in Python or JavaScript (or similar).
• Analytical instincts addressing failure scenarios proactively.
• Experience with AI-assisted tooling to generate tests or triage failures.
• Automating repetitive QA tasks instead of accepting them as routine.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end quality for core payment flows and data integrity.
• Design and build scalable automated test frameworks.
• Identify edge cases and regressions before production.
• Develop automation and AI-assisted tools to reduce manual testing.
• Collaborate with engineering to bake testability in from the start.
• Mentor other QA engineers on testing rigor and automation.
