Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior QA Engineer in Metro Manila to balance manual and exploratory testing with automation, API and mobile testing, and performance engineering. You will upskill the team, coordinate with product and operations, and drive quality gates and release readiness.

The role requires strong testing experience in Agile settings and a proactive, collaborative mindset. Candidate must be willing to work at Giga Tower, QC, on a night shift.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading test strategy in Agile environments.
• Manual & Exploratory Testing to uncover edge cases and UX friction.
• Capable of designing, developing, and executing test strategies for new features.
• Experience in performance testing and bottleneck analysis with relevant tools.
• Strong automation, API, and mobile testing capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing on complex applications.
• Develop and maintain test cases, plans, and defect documentation.
• Collaborate with Product, R&D, Operations and stakeholders during NPI lifecycles.
• Define quality standards and release readiness criteria.
• Design and execute comprehensive test strategies for new products and releases.
• Build and maintain automation frameworks for UI and Backend testing.
• Mentor QA team members in automation, API, and performance testing.
