Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure quality, reliability, and performance of web and mobile applications. You will work with Business Analysts, Developers, and cross-functional teams across the SDLC, contributing to manual and automated testing to deliver high-quality products and seamless user experiences.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or a similar role.
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.
Hands-on experience in manual testing of web and/or mobile applications.
Experience developing and maintaining automated test scripts using Selenium and/or Playwright.
Familiarity with functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing.
Experience using defect tracking and test management tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, TestRail, Testmo, or similar platforms.
Knowledge of Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and document software defects.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Business Analysts and project stakeholders to understand business requirements, project scope, and testing needs.
Review requirements and provide feedback on test coverage, quality risks, and potential gaps.
Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for web and mobile applications.
Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing to ensure product quality and stability.
Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities when required.
Develop, maintain, and enhance automation scripts using Selenium and Playwright.
Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with developers to investigate and resolve issues.
Track and manage defects using test management and bug-tracking tools.
Maintain accurate test documentation, including test cases, test plans, and execution results.
Prepare and communicate testing progress, quality metrics, and release readiness reports.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups and project discussions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support successful product releases and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support production deployments and perform post-deployment validation activities.
Participate in rotational deployment support and system health monitoring activities.
