Job summary

MRI Software is seeking a senior-level property accounting contributor to handle advanced activities, portfolio support, and first-level review. The role serves as a technical resource, providing direct support on client calls, property setups, and issue resolution.

With 5+ years in property accounting and software experience, you will lead work allocation, review, and coaching while operating with autonomy in a hybrid Ortigas environment (2 days WFH).

Responsibilities

• Perform core property accounting tasks including financial reporting and bank reconciliations.
• Lead or support new property setups and onboarding activities as needed.

• Train analysts and accountants on workpapers, client communication, and AP.
• Participate in client calls to provide technical support.
• Support team coverage and take on responsibilities from supervisor.

Job description

Senior-level contributor responsible for advanced property accounting activities, complex portfolio support, work allocation, and first-level review. This role serves as a technical resource for the team and provides direct support on client calls, property setups, and issue resolution.

RESPONS I BILITIES:

• Perform all core property accountant responsibilities, including financial reporting and bank reconciliations.
• Lead or support new property setups and onboarding activities as needed.
• Assign work to accountants and analysts based on priorities and deadlines.
• Provide review notes, recheck corrected financials, and ensure issues are properly cleared.
• Train new analysts/accountants on workpapers, client communication, bank recs, cash receipts, and AP.
• Participate in client calls to provide technical or operational support.
• Support team coverage and complete additional responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.

• Advanced technical accounting knowledge and strong review discipline.
• Ability to prioritize workload across self and others while maintaining quality.
• Coaching and training capability for developing team members.
• Confidence in client communication and issue resolution.

Decision Scope & Independence

Exercises judgment over review comments, reconciliations, and standard technical matters.

Escalates higher-risk client, personnel, or accounting issues to Team Lead/Manager as appropriate.

Operates with a high degree of autonomy and supports workflow prioritization.

REQUIREMENTS:

Typically 5+ years of property accounting and software experience.
