Job summary

Surbana Jurong in the Philippines is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead large-scale civil engineering construction projects, including marine works such as dredging, reclamation, and wharf construction. You will oversee site teams, manage safety, schedule, and budget, and ensure adherence to contracted methodologies.

This role requires a civil/structural engineering degree, PMP preferred, and at least 10 years of project leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified civil/structural engineer.
• Professional Project Management Qualifications such as PMP is preferred
• At least 10 years’ experience in managing large scale civil engineering construction projects, of which 5 years were spent mainly on marine works that involved significant dredging, reclamation and rock works as well as wharf and jetty construction
• Experience in risk assessment, geotechnical and engineering works, environmental impact assessments, tender documents, site supervision and contract administration
• Other pre-requisites are excellent team spirit, strong technical competence, good interpersonal skills and with a “can-do” attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project/Construction Manager to oversee the construction sites, general contractors, and workers to ensure a high level of quality and safety.
• Report to senior management, responsible for effective implementation and completion of construction project within schedule, cost and quality.
• Liaise closely with subcontractors, consultants and authorities; set guidelines and provide supervision to the team.
• Manage each phase of the project from design to completion and ensure efficient use of resources and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain project cost/change controls, and project budget and accounting records.
• Ensure implementation of appropriate HSE procedures and safety on site.
