Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Project Accountant to support end-to-end project accounting life cycle activities for assigned accounts. The role involves stakeholder coordination to execute processes that drive project completion.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in project accounting, a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, and experience with ERP (Oracle) and long-term contracts. This is a hybrid role requiring night shifts (MANILA time).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent relevant courses.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in Project Accounting.
• Knowledge of end-to-end project lifecycle, project accounting concepts & methodology.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition and long-term construction contracts preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle) and Blackline is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end project accounting tasks for assigned accounts and projects.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to execute project accounting processes.
• Review project financials and revenue recognition alignment.
• Conduct in-depth project analysis and provide recommendations.
• Support senior team in handling escalations and disputes related to project financials.
• Maintain and update SOPs/DTPs; incorporate documentation updates.
• Participate in audit-related activities and prepare audit responses.
• Assist junior team members with routine issues in assigned processes.
• Contribute specialized expertise to different projects and provide updates to leads.
