Job summary

AECOM is recruiting for a Project Accounting role in the Philippines with a hybrid work model. The position supports end-to-end project accounting life cycle activities across assigned accounts and projects, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial processes.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in project accounting, a degree in Accounting/Finance, and strong knowledge of revenue recognition and contract types.

Qualifications

• Amenable for night shift schedule (9PM to 6AM, Manila time).
• Open for hybrid set-up, 3x per week RTO.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent relevant courses.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in Project Accounting.
• Knowledge and understanding of end-to-end project lifecycle, project accounting concepts & methodology, and contract types.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition and long-term construction contracts is preferred.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office tools & MS Teams application.
• Experience in a shared service or captive set-up is an advantage.
• Experience working with ERP, e.g., Oracle and Blackline Systems is an advantage or other similar platforms and tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end project accounting activities for assigned accounts and projects.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to drive processes and project closures.
• Review project financials for accurate revenue recognition and profitability.
• Conduct in-depth project analysis and provide actionable recommendations.
• Support audits and respond to audit inquiries related to project finances.
• Assist in addressing routine issues and provide guidance to junior team members.
