Cohu, Inc. is seeking a senior product engineer focused on semiconductor backend test to drive prescriptive analytics solutions.

You will review recommendations, work with engineering and product teams to refine models, and ensure successful on-site customer deployments across the region. The role requires 5+ years in test product engineering, strong communication, and the ability to translate technical insights into actionable product decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years as a product engineer (test product engineer) in semiconductor IDM or OSAT.
• Hands-on backend test: test program characterization, yield analysis, data disposition, and test equipment behavior.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for semiconductor backend test operations to guide analytics solutions.
• Review and validate product recommendations before customer deployment.
• Partner with engineering and product teams to define requirements and refine logic based on real-world data and equipment.
• Distinguish equipment- vs process-related causes affecting yield, UPH, and uptime, translating insights into product actions.
• Engage with customers on-site to ensure deployment and adoption of the product.
• Guide customers in integrating prescriptive Test Operations into production workflows.
• Serve as voice of the customer within the product team and support pre-sales demonstrations.
• Senior individual-contributor role within a matrixed team spanning Product, Engineering, and Customer Success; travel regionally and internationally.
