Job summary

H2SITE is a Bilbao-based technology company applying membrane reactor tech to hydrogen transport. We seek a Process Engineer to design our product portfolio, optimize system performance, and ensure KPI achievement across budget, planning, safety, and performance.

You will lead basic engineering packages, collaborate across I&C and mechanical teams, run safety analyses, and coordinate with clients for site installations while supporting reactor modeling and product strategy development.

Qualifications

• Requires MSc in chemical/industrial/energy/mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• +5 years of process engineering experience preferred.
• Experience with safety in chemical industry and risk analyses.
• Project management and I&C coordination experience.

Responsibilities

• Project manager for execution of new or standard products.
• Carry out basic engineering including PFDs, P&IDs, and control schemes.
• Collaborate with I&C and mechanical teams to capture inputs in basic engineering.
• Conduct safety studies: HAZOP, SIL, risk analysis, etc.
• Coordinate detailed engineering activities for unit completion.
• Oversee purchasing and reception of goods.
• Supervise assembly with operations leader, electrical/mechanical.
• Interface with Notification Body for unit certification.
• Prepare and validate testing protocols with operations team.
• Analyze data and propose technical improvements.
• Coordinate with clients for installation activities.
• Support reactor modeling (Matlab and CFD) for new designs.
• Support product strategy development in design.
• Contribute to QHSE policy development and reporting.
