Job summary

Kou Fu Packaging Corporation in Cavite is seeking an experienced Prepress Supervisor to oversee daily offset prepress operations, review artwork, and guarantee color accuracy.

You will lead a team, ensure correct imposition, trapping, and plate-making, troubleshoot workflow issues, and maintain documentation to meet production deadlines. Applicants should have 3–5 years in offset prepress, a related degree, and proficiency in Adobe Acrobat/Illustrator/Photoshop.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Arts, Graphic Design, Printing Technology, or related field.
• Diploma or technical-vocational qualification in Printing Technology with relevant work experience may be considered.
• 3–5 years of experience in offset printing prepress operations.
• Experience in commercial printing, packaging, labels, books, magazines, or other offset printing applications is an advantage.
• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Knowledge of PDF preflight, imposition, trapping, color separation, and print production workflows.
• Familiarity with CTP systems, RIP software, and plate-making processes.
• Good understanding of CMYK, spot colors, Pantone colors, color management, and print registration.
• Knowledge of paper sizes, printing specifications, bleeds, crop marks, and finishing requirements.
• Ability to troubleshoot prepress file errors and production-related technical issues.
• Familiarity with offset printing standards and quality control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily offset prepress operations and personnel.
• Review and verify customer artwork, layouts, and print-ready files before production.
• Ensure correct imposition, trapping, color separation, registration, bleeds, and overprints.
• Check fonts, images, resolution, dimensions, and color profiles to ensure print quality.
• Manage CTP plate-making operations and ensure plates meet production requirements.
• Conduct preflight checks and review proofs before releasing jobs to the pressroom.
• Ensure accurate color reproduction and continuity based on approved proofs and printing specifications.
• Coordinate with graphic designers, production planners, press operators, and finishing personnel.
• Monitor job progress and ensure all prepress work is completed within established deadlines.
• Troubleshoot technical issues involving artwork files, RIP systems, CTP equipment, and workflow software.
• Maintain quality control procedures and minimize plate errors, material waste, and production delays.
• Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of prepress equipment.
• Train, guide, and evaluate prepress staff to improve productivity and technical skills.
• Maintain proper documentation, job records, and production reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, workplace safety procedures, and quality standards.
