Job summary

Cygnify in the Philippines invites a Lead Power Electronics Engineer to drive design, development, and optimization of cutting-edge power electronics solutions. You will lead from concept to production, architect diverse converter topologies, and collaborate across mechanical, firmware, and industrial design teams to deliver high-density, reliable products.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in power electronics with leadership exposure, deep knowledge of semiconductors (GaN/SiC, MOSFETs/IGBTs),

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Power Electronics engineering.
8+ years in power electronics design with leadership experience.
Expertise in multiple converter topologies (flyback, buck, LLC, etc.).
Strong thermal and EMC design fundamentals.
Familiarity with regulatory standards (UL, CE).

Responsibilities

Lead the full power electronics development lifecycle from concept through mass production support.
Architect and design power conversion systems (AC/DC, DC/DC, inverters) for various apps.
Conduct circuit analysis, component selection, and worst-case analysis.
Perform power loss and thermal analyses and implement cooling solutions.
Develop test plans for hardware including reliability and compliance testing.
Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and industrial design teams.
Mentor and guide junior power electronics engineers.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and regulatory requirements.
Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables.
Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout development.
