Sacred Heart Hospital of Malolos Inc. (A Metro Pacific Hospital) seeks a Senior Pharmacist responsible for the management and development of pharmacy operations, supervising staff, and handling related administrative duties.
The role oversees the workflow, outpatient dispensing with patient counseling, clinical pharmacy services to wards, quality improvement, regulatory compliance with DOH, PHIC, PDEA and FDA, as well as stock control and staff training.
The Senior Pharmacist has the overall responsibility of the management and development of pharmacy operations, supervising pharmacy staff and performing administrative duties related to the function.
Acts in a lead role in overseeing the workflow of pharmacy.
Responsible for the provision of an efficient outpatient dispensing service, including an accurate and timely drug/ device supply and sufficient patient counseling on prescribed medications.
Responsible for the provision of clinical pharmacy service to wards and departments and the future development of these services including active provision of pharmaceutical care to inpatients.
Promotes and maintains quality in all services of the pharmacy and ensures continuous quality improvement measures are in place.
Assesses the identity, strength and purity of medications prescribed and given.
Requests for restocking of pharmaceutical supplies to ensure stock levels are maintained and stocks are stored and handled properly.
Maintains records such as pharmacy files, patient profiles, charge system files, inventories, control records and registries of poisons, narcotics, and controlled drugs.
Maintains records and determines action to be taken on reported defective/unsealed/returned complaint pharmaceutical products.
Offers health promotion and prevention activities, for example, training people to use devices such as blood pressure or diabetes monitors.
Refers patients to other health professionals and agencies when appropriate.
Assures services of the pharmacy are in compliance with professional standards, and government requirements.
Supervises pharmacist and pharmacy aide in routine phases of work and delegates staff responsibilities.
Updates the pharmacy manual/policy and procedures and ensures they are observed in the pharmacy and in the hospital.
Acts as the point person for all Department of Health updates.
Maintains pharmacological knowledge by attending educational workshops and trainings required by FDA, DOH and PDEA; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies
Complies with drug laws as regulated by the Department of Health (DOH), Philippine Health Insurance Commission (PHIC), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) , Pharmacy Therapeutic Committee (PTC) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) by maintaining records for controlled substances and side effects, toxicities and allergic reactions for drugs.

Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy
Must have passed the PRC Licensure Exam for Pharmacy
Master’s Degree in Pharmacy
Must have at least 5-years of experience as Senior Pharmacist
