Responsibilities

• Dispensing Medications:
• Accurately dispense prescription medications to patients as per doctor's instructions, ensuring correct dosage and directions for use.
• Verify prescription details and check for potential drug interactions or allergies.
• Customer Service & Counseling:
• Provide patient counseling on the proper use of medications, potential side effects, and any necessary precautions.
• Offer over-the-counter recommendations based on patient needs and conditions.
• Inventory Management:
• Monitor and manage the pharmacy’s inventory to ensure that medications and supplies are adequately stocked.
• Ensure that expired medications are properly disposed of and that stock levels are regularly updated.
• Regulatory Compliance:
• Adhere to local and national regulations regarding medication dispensing and pharmacy operations.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with health and safety standards.
• Collaborating with Healthcare Professionals:
• Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers to discuss patient treatment plans and ensure optimal care.
• Provide advice to other medical professionals on the safe and effective use of medications.
• Handling Prescriptions:
• Process prescriptions accurately, including the use of pharmaceutical software.
• Manage both prescription and non-prescription sales, ensuring all records are up-to-date and compliant with regulations.
• Pharmacy Administration:
• Oversee pharmacy operations, including managing shifts, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and ensuring adherence to operational protocols.
• Supervise and train pharmacy assistants or other junior staff members.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor\'s Degree in Pharmacy (Registered Pharmacist).
