Job summary

David Jones is seeking a Senior Oracle Developer to design and refine Oracle-based solutions that support our operational processes. You will lead database design, PL/SQL development and system integration across functions.

With 8–10 years of Oracle experience, you will mentor teammates, optimize performance, contribute to SDLC and documentation, and help implement best practices for scalable, resilient databases.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of Oracle development experience with successful database projects.
• Strong expertise in PL/SQL, SQL and data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Forms and Reports.
• Experience with Oracle DB/DB2 technologies and Oracle APEX.
• Familiarity with shell scripting and Pro*C is a plus.
• Knowledge of CI/CD for database deployments and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and refine Oracle database solutions including data models and objects.
• Participate in SDLC activities: requirements, development, testing and deployment of PL/SQL code.
• Optimize performance through SQL tuning and indexing improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Oracle databases with systems.
• Provide technical leadership and perform code reviews.
• Create and maintain documentation for database designs and processes.
• Lead projects and coordinate with delivery stakeholders to meet business needs.
• Adhere to WHS policies and safe work practices.
