NightOwl Consulting Philippines Inc. is seeking a Non-QM Underwriter for our Back Office team.

You will review mortgage applications, analyze non-QM documentation, and make underwriting decisions in line with guidelines to support borrowers who don’t meet traditional standards. The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of mortgage underwriting experience with non-QM product expertise, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in mortgage software.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years mortgage underwriting experience with non-QM expertise.
• Thorough knowledge of mortgage lending guidelines, including non-QM product types and alternative documentation methods.
• Proficiency in mortgage software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Review loan applications to determine eligibility for non-QM loans.
• Analyze complex financial information, including alternative documentation types.
• Assess risk and make underwriting decisions in accordance with guidelines.
• Collaborate with loan officers, processors to obtain necessary documentation.
• Maintain understanding of non-QM products and stay updated on regulations.
• Ensure timely processing of loan files to meet closing deadlines.
• Provide feedback on loan conditions and resolve issues with internal teams.
• Assist in developing underwriting policies for non-QM products.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by responding promptly to inquiries.
