Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a PLPEquipment Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot semiconductor equipment used in wafer-level packaging.

You will drive uptime, ensure process stability, and uphold safety and quality standards while mentoring junior technicians. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical/Mechatronics or related field and willingness to work a 12-hour night shift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, or related field.
• Willing to work a 12 hrs night shift.
• Experience in Photo Lithography, Sputtering, Plate and Strip, and Etch.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and continuously improve semiconductor manufacturing equipment used in wafer-level packaging processes.
• Ensure maximum equipment uptime, process stability, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Provide technical leadership to junior technicians.
• Maintain accurate equipment logs and maintenance records.
• Support night shift activities such as continuous circulation of chemical baths, Tool Alarms reset and troubleshooting.
