Job summary

KCAT, Inc. in the Philippines is seeking a network operations engineer to ensure core services continuity and router stability. You will triage incidents, manage escalations, perform maintenance on CORE devices, and coach junior staff in structured troubleshooting.

Responsibilities include capacity planning across PON/BNG/BRAS and CORE links, config changes, patching and firmware upgrades. Build robust monitoring dashboards to detect issues early and collaborate with stakeholders under change

Responsibilities

• Incident Command: Triage, isolate, restore; coordinate escalations; Run RCA; manage stakeholders updates.
• Core router operation & troubleshooting stability & redundancy
• Maintain subscriber session performance and scale (PPOE/IPOE), troubleshoot auth policy and issues.
• Configure & troubleshoot OLT/PON alarms, events & political power/LOS issues, coordinate firmware changes
• Build/maintain SNMP monitoring and alert dashboard
• Ensure VM/service availability (cluster/host health & storage)
• Create, update and maintain MOP, diagram and configuration backup.
• Initiate and run maintenance on CORE devices, including config changes, patching, firmware upgrades etc.
• Capacity planning by utilizing trend and growth across PON's/BNG/BRAS and CORE links.
• Coach staff on structured troubleshooting and safe change execution.
