Job summary

ibex is seeking a Senior Network Engineer with a strong Cisco Security focus. You will maintain network operations, implement security policies, configure firewalls, and troubleshoot complex issues across a large enterprise environment.

The role requires 4–6 years of hands-on experience with WAN/LAN protocols, Cisco devices, and NG-Firewalls across multi-vendor stacks. You will work on secure, scalable network infrastructure and contribute to ongoing security hardening.

Qualifications

>4–5 years of hands-on experience with WAN protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF) and Cisco equipment.
>Experience configuring firewalls, VPNs, ACLs, and NAT in enterprise networks.
>Knowledge of multi-vendor NG-Firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortigate).
>Proactive network monitoring using SolarWinds, PRTG; familiarity with NMS/Syslog.
>Ability to document designs, standards, and network diagrams.

Responsibilities

>Device management: configure and manage Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
>Security implementation: enforce policies, VPNs, ACLs, and NAT rules.
>Incident response: troubleshoot Tier-2/3 network incidents and conduct root cause analyses.
>System maintenance: firmware upgrades and security patching on Cisco/security devices.
>Monitoring and auditing: track alerts, run vulnerability audits, ensure performance.
>Documentation: maintain diagrams, backups, and security policies.
