Job summary

Axos Bank is seeking a Senior Application Support Engineer to support and maintain mission-critical enterprise applications in a fast-paced production environment. You will handle L2/L3 support, incident response, troubleshooting, and release coordination across development, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure stability and performance.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with .NET applications, SQL databases, and monitoring tools, and a track record of reducing incidents

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications in a production environment.
• 3+ years with C#, ASP.NET, XML, and REST APIs/Web Services.
• 3+ years with MS SQL Server and/or Oracle databases.
• Experience writing and troubleshooting SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar DevOps platforms.
• Experience with incident management, problem management, and release support.
• Strong understanding of the SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Experience performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 application support for mission-critical business applications.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues within established SLAs.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive solutions to reduce recurring incidents.
• Monitor application health and system performance using monitoring and observability tools.
• Support release deployments, change requests, and production implementations.
• Collaborate with development, QA, infrastructure, and business teams to resolve technical issues.
• Analyze logs, application events, database activity, and system alerts to identify issues.
• Develop automation and shared solutions to improve operational efficiency.
• Participate in incident management, problem management, and post-incident reviews.
• Support high-severity production incidents and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, operational procedures, and technical documentation.
