We are seeking a Senior Microsoft Architect specializing in SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, Power Automate, and Power Platform to define and govern the technical architecture of one of our clients, who's an all-in-one franchise management.
This is a senior hands-on architecture role responsible for solution design, technical standards, security, integration patterns, ALM, performance, and architectural quality across the platform. The role reports to the Operations Manager and works closely with the CTO, developers, QA/QC,
product, implementation teams, and external Microsoft partners to ensure that solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and suitable for enterprise customer tenants.
Key Responsibilities
- Define end-to-end solution architecture across SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse, Teams, and approved Azure services.
- Own high-level and detailed technical design for new modules, enhancements, integrations, and major platform changes before development begins.
- Establish reusable architecture patterns, development standards, naming conventions, environment strategy, dependency controls, and non-functional requirements.
- Review proposed solutions for scalability, maintainability, security, performance, licensing impact, supportability, and alignment with the customer-tenant deployment model.
- Design SharePoint information architecture including sites, lists, libraries, metadata, content structures, permissions, search, document-management patterns, and SPFx extension strategy.
- Define secure role-based access patterns using Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365 groups, SharePoint permissions, application permissions, and least-privilege principles.
- Ensure SharePoint solutions support multi-location franchise operations, controlled administration, auditability, and enterprise governance requirements.
- Design enterprise Power Automate architecture covering approvals, notifications, integrations, scheduled processing, monitoring, exception handling, retries, and operational support.
- Define Power Platform environment, solution, connection reference, environment variable, DLP, connector, and lifecycle management standards.
- Guide developers on when to use configuration, Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse, SPFx, custom connectors, Azure components, or pro-code extensions.
- Review automation for reliability, concurrency, delegation, throttling, service limits, performance, recoverability, and long-term support.
Integration, Security & Governance
- Design secure integration patterns across SharePoint, Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Planner, Microsoft Graph, APIs, webhooks, and approved third-party systems.
- Define authentication and authorization patterns using OAuth, Microsoft Entra ID app registrations, service principals, managed identities where applicable, and least-privilege access.
- Partner with CTO and QA/QC to establish architecture review gates, security checks, release readiness standards, logging, monitoring, audit trails, and production support requirements.
- Identify architectural risks, technical debt, platform limitations, licensing dependencies, and integration constraints early and provide documented mitigation plans.
ALM, Technical Leadership & Delivery
- Define development-to-UAT-to-production ALM practices using source control, solution management, Azure DevOps and/or Jira, deployment checklists, versioning, rollback planning, and change documentation.
- Conduct architecture reviews, technical design reviews, code/design reviews, and root-cause reviews for high-impact production defects.
- Mentor SharePoint, Power Platform, Dynamics, junior, and QA resources on Microsoft architecture standards and cross module dependencies.
- Provide clear architecture decisions, diagrams, technical specifications, implementation guidance, and handover documentation so delivery teams can execute without ambiguity.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of hands-on Microsoft solution delivery experience, including senior architecture or technical-lead responsibility for enterprise solutions.
- Deep SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 architecture experience, including information architecture, permissions, governance, SPFx, Microsoft Graph, and enterprise deployment patterns.
- Advanced Power Automate and Power Platform knowledge, including solution-aware development, environment strategy, DLP, connectors, monitoring, ALM, and production support.
- Strong understanding of Power Apps, Dataverse, Dynamics 365 integration patterns, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Planner, and related Microsoft 365 services.
- Strong Microsoft Entra ID, security, access-control, application-registration, service-principal, and least-privilege design knowledge.
- Experience designing scalable enterprise integration patterns and working with Azure services where required by the solution architecture.
- Experience with Git, Azure DevOps and/or Jira, architecture documentation, technical specifications, code/design review, release governance, and root-cause analysis.
- Ability to translate complex business and franchise-operating requirements into clear technical architecture, implementation standards, and phased delivery plans.
