Job summary

MicroSourcing in the Philippines is hiring a Senior Medical Coder to review and validate AI-generated CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM and other claim data elements. The role offers a work-from-home setup with night shift and competitive compensation.

You will verify coding and billing guidelines, identify AI data anomalies, and provide timely feedback to improve model performance. A Nursing degree and current coding certification are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.
• AAPC CPC or AHIMA CCS-P/CCS certification required.
• At least 5 years healthcare experience with 3+ years in medical coding, chart review, auditing, or abstraction.
• Proficiency in applying CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding conventions; translating clinical documentation into codes.
• Familiarity with US payer types and AI-driven coding tools (CAC/NLP).

Responsibilities

• Review and validate AI generated CPT, HCPCS, ICD10CM and other claim data set elements.
• Verify coding or billing guidelines and other data extracts from AI to confirm accuracy.
• Identify AI data extract anomalies or defects.
• Provide accurate and timely feedback to AI to improve model performance.
• Remain informed with medical coding and billing regulatory changes to contribute continuous improvement of AI tools.
• Participate in the development of coding guidelines for AI-assisted workflows.
• Serve as a SME in cross-functional teams with Clinical, technical, and product stakeholders.
