Job summary

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of medical billing experience, cardiology and primary care preferred.
• Proficient with DrChrono EHR and standard billing software.
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HIPAA regulations.
• Excellent communication with patients and insurers.
• Ability to resolve billing discrepancies proactively.

Responsibilities

• Submit and follow up on insurance claims with private and government payers.
• Post payments from insurers and patients into the EHR system.
• Prepare and send patient statements and manage co-pays and collections as needed.
• Review and resolve account discrepancies with precise financial records.
• Generate AR aging and other financial reports for the practice.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and proper coding (ICD-10, CPT).
• Address billing inquiries with clear explanations.
